by Michael Verderber

The build, this build
a painful narcoleptic
my dissonance evokes
the somber chi that
lives in all of us.
Remnant memories of
my by gone.
Eventuality of age, life
dismissal.
The swelling is sweltering
I am fragmented
aloof, torn asunder.
This evocative trance
lulls my windows shut
as I hide, wrapped in
my blankets of pages
as the organ commands
me to discord.
